Scientist (Ph.D.) in the field of Tumour Immunology (m/f/d) in Reutlingen

Our services are aimed at companies in the healthcare industry as well as in vehicle, machine and tool construction and cover the broad spectrum of materials technology and quality control.

The Cell and Molecular Biology team conducts research in collaboration with academic, clinical, and industrial partners. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a scientist (Ph.D.) in the field of tumour immunology (m/f/d).

Your tasks

  • Planning and practical support in the processing of R&D projects in cooperation with industrial partners and academia
  • Active processing of service projects for industrial customers
  • Guidance and supervision of interns or student assistants working on sub-projects of the above-mentioned R&D projects
  • Supporting the group leader in preparing proposals for industrial clients, research applications, and project reports
  • Advancement of the field of tumour immunology at the NMI both technically and scientifically

Requirements

  • PhD in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry or a related field
  • Sound knowledge in tumour biology and/or tumour immunology and cellular signal transduction
  • Proven knowledge of primary cell- and organ culture
  • Hands-on experience with cell based- and homogeneous assay systems as well as advanced immunoassay technology (e.g., Luminex, Flow cytometry)
  • Experience in (confocal-) fluorescence microscopy and quantitative immunocyto-/histochemistry
  • Past involvement in project management tasks
  • Proactive, collegial cooperation and the ability to present results in multidisciplinary and heterogeneous project teams are required
